Chalet Katmai
This luxury chalet nestled in the heart of Val d'Isère covers 700 m2, with a total of 550 m2 living space, and can accommodate up to 14 people in its seven large en-suite bedrooms. The open-plan living spaces, measuring 200 m2, are enhanced by a glass bridge overlooking the interior garden on a lower floor. The invisibly mounted glass bannister offers a breathtaking view of the inner courtyard.
The south-facing glass roof over the interior patio offers a beautiful inlet for light and an incredible view of the snow-covered peaks towards the Iseran and Solaise pass. This is where the wellness area is located, with a partially glazed infinity pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and massage room. The pool has a stone waterfall that flows into a pebble basin.
The chalet is also equipped with a fitness room, an indoor climbing wall on natural rocks and an archery facility. The materials used are both noble and natural, such as the inner walls made of stone recovered from nearby forests, the bathrooms made of slate in different colours and the floors and walls of the showers made of large slate slabs cut to size without joints. The interior walkways, the patio floor, the swimming pool and its surrounds are covered with large structured stone slabs.
The chalet is also equipped with a well-designed home automation system, offering different lighting scenarios with dedicated engraved switches, indoor and outdoor webcams, an iPad-controlled TV system with channels represented by their logos sorted by country and programme type, as well as a quality HiFi system for regional broadcasting of a host of programmes, including WiFi or Airplay from tablets or mobiles.
